15 May 2005 - Oxford Kings 24 - Shropshire Panthers 6, Man of the Match: Steve Cavanagh,  Another solid performance by the Kings.  Derek Kelly threw a complete game win, and was backed up by some very solid defense.  Mike Lamb (SS), Dave Law (3B) and Masaharu Egawa (2B) all made some impressive plays, but Steve Cavanagh stole the show at 1B, using his cat-like reflexes to scoop a number of throws in the dirt.  Way to go Moose!  In terms of offence, everything clicked for the Kings.  Mike Lamb, who was in the lead-off spot, lead by example by being patient at the plate, drawing a number of walks, but also hammering pitches that were thrown over the heart of the plate.  Masaharu Egawa, Steve Cavanagh, Richard Pan, Dave Law, Klint Cowan and Adam Stegeman also contributed with many solid drives.  Santo Bains contributed by extending his HBP streak to 5 games.  The Kings record now stand at 4 wins, 2 losses.
