17 April 2005 - The Kings held a short scrimmage today, during the last outdoor practice before the start of the 2005 regular season. Kings Head Coach, Andy Meigs, was obviously pleased with the way things went. 'I like the way the team looks this year' commented Meigs after the session, 'our best players from previous years are back on the roster, and when you add in the great new talent which we have picked up in the off-season, I reckon we stand a good chance of clinching the title this year'. The Kings travel to Croydon to face the Pirates this Sunday, and are looking for a solid win to open their 2005 campaign.
30 March 2005 - Kings prepare for the new season. After ten indoor batting sessions, the Kings will move outdoors on Sunday April 3rd for their first fielding practice of 2005 (11am at Brookes playing fields).
